Our mission at United Power Services, Inc. is to provide as much information as possible to our clients so that they can make an educated decision on the maintenance of their equipment.  This is done by applying the 70+ years of combined experience in leadership alone and demonstrating it in a way that is honest and unbiased. 

Our VP and Lab Manager, Janet Lloyd, also serves as Chair of ASTM Committee D27 on Electrical Insulating Liquids and Gases and the ASTM Proficiency Test Program for Insulating Fluid Quality and Dissolved Gas Analysis.  She has received the Award of Merit from ASTM - the highest award given by ASTM.  Her involvement and achievements are not only impressive, but extremely crucial to understanding and applying the findings of results to real life maintenance of equipment.  Understanding, properly applying, and interpreting test results is a crucial difference that could help your facility run at its full potential.  Today, we are trusted to test more than 100,000 samples annually.   

With almost 40 years of experience in the electrical industry, VP and General Manager Ron Passmore is head of the Infrared department.  He oversees and arranges almost 2000 days of Infrared on 6 continents and is trusted by large corporations to help avoid catastrophic failures as well as help their facilities run smoother.  UPSI understands a good inspection begins with well-trained technicians.   Our Thermographers are certified in Advanced Level II Thermography.  Our Technicians then undergo a thorough training so that they understand and respect the process of visiting your facility.

UPSI has also completed many Arc Flash Assessments and Electrical Safety Trainings per NFPA70E and OSHA 1910.332 in the U.S. and Canada since 2005.  We provide a turn-key analysis that allows your company to stay safe and compliant.  This assessment is performed by a Professional Electrical Engineer, which includes data collection.  We can also update your analysis program every 3-5 years or whenever there’s a major change to your electrical system.
